Just had my final consultation with the surgeon about my upcoming surgery. I will have to stay overnight in the hospital because I need IV meds an extra day. I go in on noon the 30th and surgery is scheduled for 2. Im a realist, probably more like 3. I will have to wear a body cast for about 4 weeks, cant bend or lift anything over 8 pounds for that time. I will likely have to have a few stimulator adjustments as the wires become secured by scar tissue. Im ready to go and get it over with. Should be fully operational, with a little luck, in time for Christmas. It will be too close a call for Thanksgiving. Hardest part will be keeping the dogs on schedule. Had an old friend call last night and we had a long talk. It was awfully nice hearing from her. OK, Im exhausted. I really didnt get any sleep last night. Im off to get a much needed nap. Its just gorgeous today with a slight breeze. The wind chimes are singing on the porch. I love that sound.
