Ubuntu Mzalendo Via Tsomnyanzi; While u are busy reacting over the inconsequential Jicho pevu regarding the 2013 election……prices of milk offered to dairy farmers has been brought down to Ksh 32 a litre while prices of processed milk still retails at Ksh 90 a litre. A whole Ksh 58 difference per litre going to Brookeside and New KCC which control 90% of the market! Brookeside owned by Kenyatta family who own the govt that owns New KCC. Poor dairy farmers who have been enslaved Via Standard; Nearly half of Kenyans live in abject poverty, a new World Bank report reveals. This is second after Burundi, which has 67 per cent of its population poor, followed by Rwanda at 44.9 per cent. According to the World Development Indicator (WDI) released last week, Uganda has the lowest poverty levels at 24 per cent with Tanzaniaâs standing at 28 per cent. However, Kenya showed its prowess in generating national income in the region. East Africaâs largest economy created about Sh74 billion ($860 million) as Gross National Income (GNI) in 2012. It is easy to see why poverty (of farmers) in Kenya is doubles that (of farmers) in Uganda while Kenyas Gross National Income (of Kenyattas & co.) doubles Ugandas Gross National Income (that of Musevenis & co.).... therefore, this clearly indicates that Kenyas leadership is the worst in the entire East Africa in terms of plunder and gluttony.... Museveni is a dictator just as Uhuru.... the only difference is how they carry out their form of impunity... Museveni carries out political impunity while Uhuru carries out economic impunity.... I wonder which one has greater harm to the poor Kenyans.... is lack of food on the table (a Kenyan scenario) better than lack of freedom to walk to work (a Ugandan scenario)?... it seems Museveni is much better than any Kenyan leader that ever came to power... As things continue along the same trend, Kenya is soon going to compete with Burundi as to who should hold the tail of East Africa while Uganda, Tanzania and Rwanda are going to compete with each other as to who should hold its head…. They say PRIDE COMES BEFORE A FALL…. Kenyans have been so proud of themselves by feeling good that they are the ‘superpowers’ of EA while the rest of the world surges up… this blind faith has led them to neglect leadership in favor of tribalism… things are no longer easy for Kenyans…. TRIBALISM CANNOT GROW YOUR ECONOMY but good leadership does… the rest of EA is deering towards Kenya at a speed of 7% GDP growth rate p.a. while Kenya is chameleoning at miserable speed of 4% GDP growth rate p.a…. it is so sad being a chameleon in the race of deers…
