Just had my first playoff game as a pitcher last night. I was really pumped up to do well. We played the second place team. It was a bit deflating to hear we would be short one fielder in the outfield. The last time we played that team short a player they beat us 21-11. This time I was going to do whatever it takes. So, I got more strikeouts. I was hitting all the corners. Halfway through the game someone told me it was up to eight strikeouts with batters caught looking or swinging and missing on the third strike. A lot of the other batters got behind with two strikes and then did a high pop up to center field - where we did have a fielder or popped up into the infield. We won the game 9 - 5. I made one mistake to their home run hitter that cost me two runs, so it should have been 9 - 3. I don’t know where this will end up, but winning the first playoff game against the odds feels pretty dam good
