Just had the most traumatic experience this evening with chocolate mousse. Im talking 7 long unexpected hours of making and working with the damn thing... On the positive side, it is delicious. On the negative side, the pastry bags, tools and appearance were a big disaster! It so reminded me of a horrid memory of making my first bakery type cake - my sons 3 yr old birthday request: the teenage mutant ninja turtle cake...from hell. Dear lord... it was a valiant attempt with the official Ninja Turtle cake pan but nonetheless unidentifiable as a ninja turtle upon completion I didnt properly grease and flour the pan and parts did no come out of the pan. With all of the crumbling, it made frosting a nightmare - I ended up concealing any mess with oreo cookie halves...By the time I was done concealing, it honestly looked remarkably like a giant dog poop!
