Just have to vent....I am one of the most competitive people on the face of the earth. I hate to lose and I am not afraid to admit that. I pride myself on becoming as good as I possibly can in every aspect of my life so that my own girls can have a strong male role model to look up to and grow up with. However, when competition turns to being nasty, hateful, arrogant, cocky, and down right rude and disgraceful OF PARENTS...then there is a problem. It is truly a shame because not everyone is this way, but a small number of people truly are and they give this school district such a bad name. Not that I am a wonderful father, coach, husband, and role model all of the time, but I sure I hope I do not train up my children to be selfish, arrogant, get what I want type of children and individuals, while treating my wife and I like garbage. I will not name the school (but many can guess), but its truly sad to sit at volleyball tonight and hear so many girls back talk their parents, call them out, and get what they want - while in return the parents give in and act like they are all high and mighty and super star parents because their daughter is getting a full ride as a freshman to Texas to play volleyball. I sure hope that when my girls grow up and play sports, the attitude of the district will change - doubtful but one sure can hope.
