Just heard Mr Lazarus speaking on radio and he admitted the Senate - TopicsExpress

Just heard Mr Lazarus speaking on radio and he admitted the Senate Enquiry (or Royal Commission?) would affect the result of the Queensland elections in March. He went on to say that as Queensland has no house of review, the Federal Government needs to take that role. News Flash Mr Lazarus - Queensland has not had a Legislative Council since 1922. Furthermore in 1934, the Abolition Act was amended providing that the Legislative Council cannot be restored without a referendum. I might add that it was Labor governments which both abolished the LC and passed the amendment in 1934. To see this latest move as anything but a direct attack by Clive Palmer on Campbell Newman is naive in the extreme.
