Just heard a podcast about how the human brain is freakishly advanced for progress. That we Havnt tapped its potential by a long shot. And despite the rapid growth of civilization we can handle it and much much more. Flip side our endocrine system is archaic. Adrenaline rushes and intense fight or flight instincts are still designed for caveman living. This battle between past instincts and future cognition is why we search the news for tragedy and fear when there is none. And its also why comedians exist to make light of these horrible confusing and alienating contradictions in our being. Thoughts?
