Just home from a bit of an epic road trip with David. Left home midday yesterday, back home now on about an hours sleep. Sunset at the Forth bridges, then on up to Broughty Ferry for a chippy tea and bumped into Ben, great to finally meet you mate! and thanks for my wee piccy reminder from the chippy.....then on to Dunottar Castle for some moonlit shots, and bumped into Graham, great to meet you too mate! and then on into Aberdeen for a mooch about. Heard there was aurora kicking about, so madly decided to head on up to Fraserburgh and Peterhead, just for the hell of it, got a very very feint hint of aurora, will see how it turns out. We then headed back to Dunottar, it was about 3am by the time we got back, so bacon butties were the order of the, erm, morning! and then to try and get our heads down for a wee kip....and onto the major planned shot, sunrise....mother nature didnt disappoint in the slightest, I do seem to carry my luck on these mad dash trips for conditions! Then we headed to Crawton for a waterfall off a cliff into the sea.....cracking wee place, and then sausage butties! Took a steady mooch on down the coastal route through Fife, to end up at the zigzag breakwater at St Monans....conditions werent great and on the turn, the tide was incoming, the wind was blowing sea spray onto the filters.....fired off a few shots, and the weather turned, so we called it a day and trundled on down home. Absolute blast of a time with a great mate, as always! Bloody love these mad day trips.....
