Just home from our group meeting. And yes it will be written up in full in our November newsletter but just to keep you intrigued I did a presentation at the end of the meeting on rituals of funerals. Here is just one - more in the newsletter - Covering the face of the deceased with a sheet stems from pagan tribes who believed that the spirit of the deceased escaped through the mouth. They would often hold the mouth and nose of a sick person shut, hoping to retain the spirits and delay death.
