Just joined the group. I graduated from Irene S. Reed in 1960, along with Valerie J Latham Harrison. We inherited the old house from my parents and live next door to them (Byron and Evalyn Deffinbaugh). We lived in Asia for almost 40 years, but when we retired in 2007 we built a new house on our property. Recently we have been repairing the old house, now a guest cabin. Tonight I was making curtains for my old bedroom, which I used to share with my sister Jean (10 years younger) when I was in high school. We have paneling from Lincoln School in the living room of the old house. The house was originally a loggers bunk house that was hauled onto the property before my parents bought the resort in 1956. It didnt have indoor plumbing when we moved there. We used to have 6 cabins and about 33 row boats when we operated the resort. Cabin 6 is still standing, but now belongs to my brother Bob, who lives in Texas.
