Just last week Antrim County Commissioners were discussing implementing United Nations Agenda 21 in our county! I stumbled upon the meeting by chance, so I was there. One of the commissioners made the comment that they would go with the majority of public opinion, whether for or against, on this one. But public opinion can be twisted to fit an agenda. For example, outside survey companies (that work hand in hand with companies that sell Master Plans, Zoning, and Engineering) often twist results of a public survey to get an outcome favorable to them. Because these companies feed off selling their services to communities. I, for a fact, know one major firm that is not only for Agenda 21, but they profit by implementing it throughout the state. If a county rejects zoning they lose a future stream of income! These companies purposely seek out un-zoned counties and twps. to feed on. They don’t care about private property rights, as a matter of fact they get paid to destroy them! So beware, these skewed public surveys on the consideration of zoning are a way to predetermine an outcome. Its also a way to keep commissioners for Agenda 21 zoning hands clean of ever showing their hand. I don’t know any of the commissioners, but I would hope all are against Agenda 21! By the way, I met an Antrim County citizen there that had spoken out against Agenda 21. After the meeting I spoke with this person. He has been fighting for our private property rights for years even at the state level. He informed me how some time ago the state had hired lawyers to go out into local communities teaching county, city, twp. officials how far they could go in “taking” private property rights from their citizens without getting sued. The analogy he gave was in itself disturbing! To paraphrase, he said “The state lawyers taught local government how far they could twist a property owner’s arm behind his back holding it in pain just short of breaking the arm!” In a communist society, no one owns property. It belongs to the collective. But here in America we are allowed to Individually own property including the bundle of rights that come with that Constitutionally protected right! There is a major movement by the collectivists to seize control of property through Agenda 21 zoning! And they are doing it without giving a dime! You may own your property, but do you when the collectives dictate what you can or can’t do with it! What good is your land ownership if the rights to that land are completely owned by the central planners? It would mean you are simply leasing the government’s property!
