Just learned that the World Junior Champion of the 200 meter sprint, in 2012, Delano Williams, attends (at least up to 2012) my Alma Mater, Munro College (high school), in Jamaica, WI! We are still one of the best high schools in the Caribbean if not the world! Did I mention that one of the students that graduated during the years that I attended MC became a Rhodes scholar and an applied mathematician--one of the many Rhodes scholars produced by the school because the held all students accountable for our success? They are still arguably the high school with the greatest number of Rhode Scholar alumni in the Caribbean! Hard work does pay off---a message lost in translation in some circles (not at MC, hopefully) in this new blame-the-teacher-age of pre-tertiary education system. Go MC!
