Just listening to Tony Wabbit trying his best to justify his governments decision not to co-invest in the upgrade to SPC canning plant in Shepparton, apparantly investing $16M into Cadbury in Tasmania is not the same thing! That was for tourism...? Cadbury made a yearly profit last of $15B, whereas Coca Cola made a profit of $250M, the Cadbury handout of $16M would, at a guess, create maybe 20-30 jobs whereas SPC has 700 jobs on the line. Coca Cola committed to a co-investment of $90M for the plant upgrade, and if you add the $25M promised from the state government and the $25M they asked of the federal government, that would be a total of $140M into the Vic economy. Your a feckwit Tony !
