Just look at this gorgeous one-year-old brindle Belgian Shepherd mix. His name is Mack and he is a dog with a mission. His mission is to get a new family, so he can leave the shelter and start a new life. You can tell by watching him for a while that this is a determined fellow. This Saturday, he was in a long outside run by himself. His water dish was empty, so he picked it up in his teeth and carried it around, shaking his head and waving the dish around until someone saw what he was doing and came to give him fresh water. Thats just sums up his attitude--- he ran out of water but he didnt just sit and whine because he didnt have any. He didnt panic. He didnt get mad. He didnt wait patiently for someone to notice he needed water. He didnt slump over dejected because he feared hed die of thirst. He just took matters into his own hands, er, jaws. He calmly and determinedly got himself noticed and made what he needed clear as day. He wanted water, and he wanted it right now. And he got it. Way to go, Mack. What a clever boy you are. Mack loves to spend time outdoors and to run and play with the volunteers. He would be a great companion for an active person who likes to walk or run or play frisbee. He looks magnificent when he is dashing across the run in pursuit of a tennis ball. He also loves his quiet time, and will stretch out contently, especially if someone is nearby to rub between his ears. Mack has been neutered and microchipped. He tested negative for heartworm. He is up to date on standard vaccinations: rabies, parvo/distemper, and bordatella (kennel cough). He is at the Carroll County (ga) Animal Shelter and his adoption fee is $115.
