Just my thought(s), opinion, but when you take God out of the schools along with prayer, the Ten Commandments out of the Law, not to speak of the New Commandments that were given, make it a crime to profess your faith, and share it with those you will listen because they choose to, and those who would send letters to schools, teaching kindness and love for one another by running drives to give food, clothing, toys to under privileged children and families with law suits because of the term Christmas, yet let other put up and display their icons, and the most fearful of all taking the words So Help me GOD out of oaths of office or positions of defense, then we as a people and as a nation are LOST!!! This country was founded on religious freedom and the expression of it, to include the sharing of it with those who would listen. The very moral and ethical fabric of this country has degraded to a point that we allow those who dis believe or have a Riding the Fence ideology to dictate what we as believers and acceptors , do in our lives and homes, our churches, youth programs, schools, and government offices and officials who display writings of such on their walls and in their offices. Want the same removed by destruction of monuments so that they are not offended, yet enjoy the freedoms under which wars were fought, both domestically and in foreign lands. well by wanting this YOU OFFEND ME!!! You are taking away my RIGHTS, and I have come to the point that if you do not share my belief, that is fine, dont listen or read my writings, but at the same time DO NOT INFRINGE ON MY RIGHT(S) to profess and share as well, try to make my gifts to another due to a holiday through a drive for those less fortunate than I even worse. Close your eyes and ears, walk away! I tell you this folks: The 1st Amendment is just that, believe or dis believe, even ride the fence, but the words Separation of Church and State is not what you think, This statement means this, The Government of the United States of America, will not sponsor, monetarily support OR recognize any particular religion as a state sponsored belief! This was the policy of England and the Church of England! Rather allow all, and in doing so, all persons and agencies of the government and civil populace may display and profess that faith with out fear of persecution by the government, private organizations or individuals who do not wish to follow that particular belief or holiday. Stop the non-sense, if you chose not to believe in GOD that is your choice, if you chose not to take an oath for office or defense because GOD is in that oath dont take the position, but more over DO NOT INFRINGE ON THE RIGHTS OF THOSE WHO BELIEVE!!! I for one will say to you MERRY CHRISTMAS not Happy Holidays, I believe in Christ, as both my Lord and as my Savior. I will say Happy Easter to you as well Happy Thanksgiving, I will not say Happy Hanukkah or Happy Kwanzaa to you, not because I am disrespecting your beliefs, but because they are not mine, I will simply smile and nod at/to you.
