Just noticed that one of the mega churches in this area is adding another campus in an adjoining town. Sorry...I just cant agree with this. Here in Buncombe County, NC, we have about 110 Southern Baptist Churches...plus all the Independent, Missionary, Full Gospel, etc ...Baptist Churches. Plus, the niche churches for the cowboys, homeless, artsy folks, and the other denominations...Presbyterian, Methodist, Lutheran, Catholic, Jewish and etc. Many wont agree with me...but...in this part of western North Carolina, everyone has many, and varied opportunities to hear the gospel, just about any day and any hour of the week. Seems to be that it would please God more, if the church establish church plants in places that have very few churches...such as Wyoming, Vermont and etc. Or, if this is not possible, how about the successful church adopt one of the less successful local churches and help it grow. I feel this would please God much more than big church planting a competing church
