Just out of curiosity: What is the actual meaning of Animal CARE & Control? All too frequently, those of us that do Risa Weinstocks job for her wonder about how she interprets Websters dictionary, because her interpretation of the word care seems to bear no correlation to the traditional definition. Regularly, animal advocates see dogs and cats languishing in NYC shelters with wounds, near-death with injuries, illnesses and with bones protruding from ravaged bodies and no vet care is provided. Did it ever occur to you or Weinstock that relegating vet care to rescues is a deception of what the public thinks the AC&C actually does?? Most rational people would call this fraud, when a public agency advertises itself as proving care and then doesnt. Id love it if youd take a look at the dog below and ask yourself if issuing a plea for outside intervention and promoting care bear any resemblance?? Is this some kind of draconian joke or a premeditated scheme to defy animal welfare laws and deceive the public at the same time?? The NYC AC&C employs a Chief Veterinarian. In fact, she was appointed by the lawyer that runs the AC&C who allows this deception to perpetuate. Her name is Lisa Hara Levin and just out of curiosity - what is her contribution to the AC&C??
