Just plain stupid. CA is suffering with a water crisis, our states unemployment rate is one of the highest, our state budget is strained to such an extent that our courts have suffered with major cutbacks and we are going to go into more debt for a stupid fantasy choo choo to nowhere and now our state legislature comes up with this insanity. Yea sure, the quality of life in CA got better? NOT. Read the article, the state senator who sponsored this was concerned about bags washing out to sea and harming sea live. WHAT? Weve had these bags for decades. If they actually harmed the environment, youd think we would have evidence. None given. Also, note that customers will now have to pay for heavier bags. Also note that this bill provides funding for baq companies here in CA to retool Also note that a bag company said they will have to lay off workers. WE NEED NEW LEADERSHIP!
