Just ran across these a minute ago. Did them for someone who used to make great wines, and who always had shitty labels. I mean, shitty, black and white labels with text and rudimentary clipart only. His wines won gold medals!!! I thought he deserved some nice labels, so I spent a bunch of time making these as examples of what I could make him and sent them to him. The Vintage Wines one was an online coaster app graphic, I think, but the others I created from a pile of accumulated graphics that I combined and made from scratch that turned out very nicely, I think. Never even got a thanks! Wasnt trying to sell him something, said theyd be free. No response on any of them, even through many dinners and chats... Recently, I have stopped being so congenial to other drivers on the road who want to turn or cut in front of me because every time I wave them through, or flash my lights so they know I see them and am giving them the okay, they turn out brain dead and stare at me like something from Night Of The Living Dead, and I finally end up waving like a maniac and looking like a reactionist, all pissed off that theyre clueless, and I think, WHY do I do this??? This is the same feeling... No good deed goes unpunished. Whah! Okay, Im done venting now. Thank you so much for being there... ;)
