Just re-posting an option that helped me locate my father. If u go into any Centrelink office in Australia you can ask to have a letter sent to a requested person, family or non-family member I presume, with your contact details etc. IF they are registered receiving government payments they can forward on this letter to them.. There is no breach of confidentiality as once this person has received your letter it is then entirely up to them to respond and contact you personally. I had success within 3 wks. We have lost contact again due to loss of phone and numbers so i will be forwarding another letter and awaiting him to re-contact me. So i hope this helps anyone who has ran out of ideas..
