Just read Carole Malone column in todays Sunday Mirror, her attack on Andy Murray is pure uninformed crap, typical lazy journalism from her, pick an easy target and a man who (at the moment) is down and kick him as hard as you can, she turns one swear word into a four letter rant , she concludes hell never be one of the great players because he lacks what makes a great human being, warmth, humour, compassion & humility what a load of absolute bollocks, I dont know where to start, if she had done just 2 minutes of research she would know that not one of those sentiments are in the least accurate, for one Andy has done masses of work for charity most of it done with self deprecating humour (Sport & Comic relief etc), anyone who has ever met him speaks of his down to earth friendly manner and how he never takes himself to seriously and how hes always taking the rise out of himself, of course he has compassion for example he showed it just recently by rescuing that escaped doggie when on his way to practice, I can think of plenty of prima donnas who would have just ignored it and gone on their way, I could go on & on, I dont mind real journalists or in fact anyone reporting or commenting on the tennis and why Andy lost etc etc, that goes with the territory, but this unprovoked, ignorant, populist, jump on the band wagon rubbish pisses me off, Andy has more talent in his big toe nail and has given the people of the UK more pleasure than that useless excuse of a journalist has ever or will ever do !!................Phew thats better.
