Police Awards and Recognition Ceremony Last night, the Annual Huntington Beach Police Awards and Recognition Ceremony was held at the Central Library. The ceremony is designed to recognize employees whose actions exemplify the spirit of the police department. Nominations were made by employees, and each submission went through a comprehensive review and recipients were chosen by a committee. We are proud to announce the recipients of the 2013 Huntington Beach Police Department Employee Awards: • Medal of Valor – Officer J.
