Just read John Ortbergs book Who is this man and it has me wondering why has it become politically incorrect to say Jesus when the world keeps time based on his birth? After all, hospitals were started because Jesus healed the sick and encouraged his followers to do the same. The first schools, universities including Oxford and Harvard, homeless shelters, and The Red Cross were started because of him. George Washington, MLK, Mother Teresa lead the way they did because of Jesus. If we honor them shouldnt we honor him. The creation of our US government and constitution were influenced by him. You dont have to believe in Jesus. We need to respect everyones beliefs and faith. But it shouldnt be taboo to say his name. Dont let the judgmental hypocrites keep you from getting to know more about the one who loved everyone unconditionally and made such an impact on our world. And to those who do believe you dont have to convince and defend what you believe. Just show what you believe by loving, serving and caring.
