Just read Zumas response to the Public Protectors Secure in Comfort report on Nkandla addressed to the National Assembly. Its becoming increasingly clear that Zuma does not take South Africans or Parliament seriously. To think the Republic had to wait so long for such a feeble response from its Head of State is insulting to say the least. Zuma had this opportunity to put the matter to bed and vindicate himslef in front of the nation, but he failed dismally. He did not even attempt to address the PPs findings that state that President Zuma improperly benefitted from some of the measures implemented in the name of security and that president Zuma tacitly accepted the implementation of all measures at his residence, has unduly benefited and should bear a portion of the costs. He instead chose to spend the bulk (upwards of 90%) of the report summarizing the other reports from the SIU, PP and JSCI and only spent a paragraph towards the end on how he will act as the Head of State moving forward. In that paragraph he places responsibility for everything on the Ministers of Police, DPW and Parliament and takes absolutely no responsibility. The sad part is that after this, the matter will be put to rest and forgotten by our impotent, forgetful society. We are led by a class-A thug and this man is an embarrasment to the country and to us, the lovers of the ANC of Luthuli, Tambo, and Mandela.
