Just read an article where guy said: I talked to a Chicago cop that shot a guy eight times with a .45 to kill him and that was a 230 grain Hydra-Shok. A) Your aim must suck or you were intentionally hitting non-vital areas. B) If you honestly think it took 8 rounds to kill that guy you are an idiot. Maybe you got through 8 rounds before the guy quit twitching but if your aim was even remotely accurate he was dead by round 2. C) 8 rounds does not sound like alot to me when it comes to a police shooting. History has proven that in a heated situation cops expend ammo VERY quickly. Statistics back this up but what gets me is that this guy blames the pistol/round size for how many times he had to shoot. While I am a big fan of the .45 ACP the ultimate fact is that no matter the bullet size, shot placement is everything. There is no Guaranteed one shot stop bullet unless you want to drag a howitzer around with you all the time. While big bullets do make big holes, holes in vital areas are what count.
