Just read that the perfectionist director has completed a film called HAIDER an adaptation of William Shakespeares HAMLET.This proves the universal side of the greatest dramatist. He was of his age , but also of the ages. He touches every mood, of graceful sentiment, of delicate fantasy, a philosophic meditation and of poignant passion. When we think of Lear in his desolation, of Othello in his last anguish, of Macbeth in his soul agony, and the despair of Cleopatra....we think of English Literature at its grandest.
