Just received word that I just won a motion hearing that I was super pumped about and that several (defense) lawyers told me I would lose! I filed a Motion to Dismiss based upon the States violation of my clients constitutional right to a speedy trial- not based upon statutory speedy trial (which is the easy way) but upon constitutional speedy trial (much much harder to win). The State dropped the ball, and I picked it up and threw it! (And I just created some really great case law). Just when I am feeling down and out about this job, I kick butt and get my mojo back!!
