Just reflecting on the eve of the most important day in Scottish - TopicsExpress

Just reflecting on the eve of the most important day in Scottish political history in my lifetime. Tomorrow I will remove my Yes twibbon from my profile picture, my vote will have been cast and its done. Whatever the outcome will be, its been an amazing time for Scotland. NOTHING will ever be same with politics in this country again. Ive debated with plenty of people, most of whom have respected my opinion and Ive respected theirs. I have made a few new friends and have lost a couple who chose not to respect my opinion in the way Ive respected others. I have learned so much about people, the government, how biased our media is and also so much I didnt know about how our country is run. Ive never had an interest in politics before at all. I have a good lifestyle and Im comfortable in rewards from how hard we work. It would be very easy for me to think Im alright, Jack and let things continue as they are but Im not just voting for me; Im voting for my child and his future, for any grandchildren Ill have in the future and their children. Im voting for my hopes not for my fears, I firmly believe that Scotland has the resources and the know how to run our country for the best, were a nation of passionate, strong and inventive/creative people. I want our country to remain to be known as Scotland the Brave not Scotland the Feart who were the first ever country to reject their own Independence. I want to be able to continue to sing Oh Flower of Scotland without embarrassment that we failed to rise and be a nation again. I never believe much that a politician says and have did plenty of research for myself. If both sides are lying, whoever we vote for, they will have broken campaign promises. The question to ask, for both a yes win or a no win is: what can we do about it? If yes win, we can vote out the politicians who lied to us; if no win, theres nothing we can do about it, were stuck with it. To my friends all over the rest of the UK, Im sorry if you feel were abandoning you. Dont take it personally. Instead pray for us that this all works out for the best. If your next door neighbour moved away, you wouldnt hate them for choosing to go and make a new life. Instead youd wish them all the best and hope that it all works out for them. Please do the same for us. May the best man win and all that xxx
