Just remember that when you call black women crazy, when you silence and other people and specifically black women with mental illness, when you joke about telling someone to take meds or whatever you are contributing to the ableism, misogynoir, and racism that resulted in the brutal murder of Tanesha Anderson and people like her. I would be lying if I said this shit is not scary. At best I am one episode in front of the wrong people and at worst another abusive or vindictive partner from becoming her. From having my bodily autonomy ignored, from being cuffed and having my face repeatedly smashed on a side walk until I die all for being disabled and for wanting my body to be respected. Tanesha Anderson did not have to die. Pointed reminder that black women and non binary people face state violence and die along with black men and that our lives matter.
