Just remembering a day 3 years ago 3 days ago, kinda late but who cares, It was the 2011 Chicago KISS Expo, Had a blast and so did everyone else, problem is it was the last time I or anyone else would talk to the Late great Eddie Balandas who passed away right after the expo that day. So many stories. He did his story telling that day and even came into that bar and had fun with everyone as well, One story he told, well Tom, Mike Hale and me were sitting in the bar checking on the RACE because it was on that day and he came in and asked us about whos winning the race. Amanda Youmans I believe you and mark were in the room as well and he did this backwards thing with someone, said something then said it again backwards. Well you had to be there. He had a lot of stories he told about his days working security for KISS and personal stories about Ace and Peter and Gene and Paul. Those who dont know who he is, pop in ALIVE 2, you will hear his voice. Yeah even the Gene AXE Bus was there for exhibit that day. This happened not to long after Gene finally got married, Kieth brought his invitation with him and thought that was cool! Thanks for bringing that KISS ARMY Flag Steve Stierwalt Jr because you knew Tom was going to get it and he did! Later I got one. This is also where I got to meet the artwork of a for Genes Punishers. Hopefully ill run into ya again soon! This expo unfortunately would be the last time I would see Hans Paulson who ran KISS4Sale as well. Got the KISS Mini pinball machine from him. Took plenty of pictures of the merchandise that day, shoot I always did! Just have a blast at these! Just makes me sad 3 of those in attendance are no longer with us, Tom Hale, Eddie Balandas and Hans Paulson(KISS4SALE). Did not stay for the Tribute band and dont remember who played but oh well.
