Just returned from a amazing Rotary Adventure in Burkina Faso, West Africa, where Michael Barrington, Dany Gregory and myself represented the Rotary Clubs of District 5160, including the 8 Mt Diablo Clubs that created the Global Gratnt to dedicate the 2 schools that as a result of the Clubs Global grant enlarged from 1 class room to 4 classrooms, a latrine and a food storage building. The dedication at the school in Dougouri began with a wonderful welcome by the villagers as we drove in. They lined both sides of the road and sang a song welcoming us. I chatted with one boy who I asked what they liked about school replied that he wanted to be the Man of the future..to be a decider. At Konabe there was a formal dedication with many prominent government official present including the Assistant Regional Governor, The Minister of Education, the Mayor of the nearby down of Gourcy among with Lacine Swagadogo the owner/operator of NEEED the agency that was the construction manager
