Just returned from the All Classes get together for Newton High School at the Newton Speedway. Not expecting too many from my class as this is not a reunion year for us..but ran into a few including oll orchestra pal Dave Snook and his spouse Marsha Davis Snook. Also chatted with Donna Jennings Versteegh and Cuba Pelzer Patterson from our class..had a nice visit with Florette Jeanne Melton (Mulbrook) also. Saw some of my high school athletic heroes such as Tom Radar, Denny Williams, Fred George, and Jim Oliver. I also met one of the Hall of Fame Inductees..Minda Gralnek. Minda is the youngest of the Gralnek girls from Newton..I previously had met Frances, Marsha, and Tamara. What a awesome family..now scattered around the country. Newton is poorer without the Gralneks. Also saw Rob Grimm from our class. It was a good gathering although the Speedway is a tad pricey. ($4.00 for a can of beer).
