Just returned from the vets office with Pancho. Things went better than expected. No cancer! =D However, there was a fox-tail deep in his ear canal which had to be removed, his upper back teeth on both side were infected (4 antibiotics 2x a day for a week should clear that up), and he was prescribed prednisone (high dosage tapper down over a 3 week period) for his itchiness (he was diagnosed with lupus years ago which the vet suspects is causing the deep itch that makes his back leg thump.) Sr blood panel done (to check for diabetes among other things) which we should have the results for tomorrow. While there, we did learn that Lola does have diabetes. I have a 40 minute living with diabetes consult for her next week. We will have to inject her with insulin twice a day and Im pretty sure there will be some major dietary changes coming as well. =(
