Just shared with me on a thread from one of my Canadian friends, who shared this from one of his friends here in Edmonton: Look, I normally keep my politics off my facebook, but I am sitting at Credo next to some guy who works for the federal Conservatives. He is chatting with another guy who works for the Conservative party, too. They have literally spent the past hour and a half loudly discussing the problem with the ethnic vote (who are easy to get on board with anything dumb) and how the women of the party are ditzy but look good, so who cares. They also sounded off on how politics arent supposed to be about democracy. AND I QUOTE: When did it become a liability in politics to be well-connected, well-funded, and well put-together? Its the fault of idiots that people think underdogs should have a say in how to run our country. Just the facts, folks!
