Through a collaborative effort between Wells Fargo, NeighborWorks America and Neighborhood Housing Services of the Inland Empire (NHSIE), the CityLIFT Program is helping individuals discover the possibilities of homeownership by providing up to $15,000 in down payment assistance. In order to be eligible for CityLIFT assistance, the homebuyer must: •Have a household income at or below 120% of Area Median Income for Riverside-San Bernardino-Ontario, CA Metropolitan Statistical Area (see chart below) •Qualify for a first mortgage loan from an approved CityLIFT lender •Attend a 8-hour homebuyer education course •Purchase a home within the city limits of Riverside, Corona, Moreno Valley, San Bernardino and Fontana •The home must be occupied by the buyer •Eligible properties: a detached home, townhouse, condominium, 1 – 4 unit property, Planned Unit Development •Agree to maintain the home as his or her primary resident for at least 5 year •Not own another home at the time of closing on the new home with CityLIFT assistance NSHIE and Wells Fargo will be holding a CityLIFT Launch Event on Friday, August 9th and Saturday, August 10th from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. at the Orange Paviliion National Orange Show Event Center in San Bernardino. At this event, attendees can find out if they qualify for down payment assistance, reserve down payment assistance for 60 days, and meet with a lender to get prequalified for a first mortgage loan.
