Just so I am out in front of this story....Apparently the United League has pulled their Alexandria team that was playing at Bringhurst Field. I certainly hope the City received their lease payments prior to the season. Our group that had operated the past 4 years before not being offered a lease is not involved in this in any capacity. The UL was basically using the logo and our uniforms without permission. Our group chose not sue them for two main reasons. 1)we knew the UL had no money and have left numerous unpaid bills throughout their tenure, including their bankruptcy in 2008 and 2) we did not publicly portray the negative aspects of this group coming in for the betterment of baseball in Alexandria, despite our local ownership group likely being irrepairably harmed.
