Just so you guys know, being a "Republic of Jefferson" or "Jefferson Territory" does two things. 1. A territory is controlled by congress, so a Jefferson Territory would be THE LAST THING we need. No senators and representatives in Congress? Umm I want my representation please. So yeah bad idea. 2. Declaring our selves a Republic places us as declaring war on the United States. Sorry but no thanks. We would lose very bad and makes us look bad. Let me repeat that WE WOULD LOSE.....BAD. I want to make it clear I am here to make a State. I want Jefferson to be an equal state to the other 50 and the others that may exist. So to the people running around on Facebook saying we should be a Republic or Territory, I am sorry but you are doing more harm than good for our movement. Please stick the "State of Jefferson" We need to unite to make us legal. I am tired of in fighting. So after that, please advertizes State of Jefferson Party. Thank you.
