Just some thoughts tonight. Four years ago today, we put Andy back on the plane headed back Afghanistan. We had two short weeks with him. We were able to have a Thanks/Christ/New/Easter celebration while he was home. We had all the meals with all the trimmings. Andy couldn’t eat much, because his mind was somewhere else. Nevertheless, it was a great family time. We had all five kids home under the same roof. We would have never believed that it would be the last time that I would have my three kids under the same roof. We knew that Andy had to go back to Afghanistan, but we new that he only had 2 more months, and he would be back on American Soil. Little did we know how all of our lives would be changed from that day on. How do you respond when your grown son whispers in your ear, Momma, dont be mad when the men in dress uniforms show up, because they probably will. Those where the last words I heard from my son as a free man. Later we would find out how much danger our son was truly in. Four years have passed since Andy whispered those words. Today, I know far more than I ever wanted to about UCMJ, Article 32 hearings, and Court Martials. This battle has taken us to places we couldnt have imagined. We have met some wonderful people and found out just how far we could go to defend our son, brother, grandson, and uncle. We have lost most of the battle, but we have not stopped fighting. I would like to thank the United American Patriots and Major Bill Donahue. We have always known we could fight a great battle with UAP in our corner. To all of our Andy supporter; thank you. You have been the light behind us, and we value each and every one of you. Today, an appeal was submitted. The outcome is out of our hands. But I know that with your help we will prevail in this battle. “It is not the critic who counts; not the man who points out how the strong man stumbles, or where the doer of deeds could have done them better.
