Just spoke for an hour with a man living out of his car...He said his name was Marc but explained it was actually Maricos, but he told people Marc because it was easier to understand through his strong accent. He immigrated here from Poland twenty years ago, after he received his masters degree in electrical engineering. He said he has worked for HP, coca-cola and Albertsons over the last few decades respectively. He told me at one point he was making over $100,000 a year but had lost everything after a severe accident left him disabled. His limp was prominent and his arm visibly scarred. His eye was black and bruised from a recent robbery he had suffered, during which his wallet, cell phone and prescription glasses had been taken. This man asked me for nothing, he only wanted to talk to someone. He told me his daughter had just graduated from cal state Santa Barbara...his brother is also a doctor living in the US. Gotta keep it in perspective people... It gets taken away, and you say oh shit like you never saw it comin
