Just spoke with the nurse taking care of my mom and she said shes doing well...They will perform another flush tomorrow morning in order to get rid of the remaining infection. There is still a lot of pus in the infected area. They will keep the breathing tube in probably until Sunday. My aunt from Philly went to visit her today and to check on her for us and said they have her so filled up with fluids that she was unrecognizable. I know I am going to have a very very hard time seeing her like this, but I am going to try my best to be strong for her and keep it together. I know all this is temporary, its just the initial shock of seeing my mom like this. They used a lift today and had her sitting in a chair which is a good thing. They said she wasnt too happy with that and just wanted to sleep...They are concerned with recovery part , and rehab afterwards. She hasnt been up and walking around for a week. She will probably be in the hospital at least another week or two. She is on the road to recovery but its going to be a long one. After all these years of my mom taking care of me, its my turn to take care of you mom...
