Just started facebooking my desert island discs. Allan is at #1 and #2! Record number 1 is A Kinder Eye by Level 42. I became a fan of theirs in 1987 when the Running In The Family album came out, and doggedly maintained my allegiance at school when all my peers were into The Smiths etc. This came out in the early 90s, and was my first introduction on record to the truly extraordinary guitar-playing of Allan Holdsworth (he plays the cascading outro solo at 4:30) whose playing has been my biggest musical inspiration ever since. https://youtube/watch?v=TL4iMjptZqI
