Just starting into reloading 40 S&W and am looking at using accurate #2 for my powder with a 180 Gr. swc bullet. in my research ive seen most books/online load charts saying somewhere between 4.3 and 5.1 grs of powder. anyone used this powder before in 40 or have a load they like with it. with the load i go with i would like to keep my muzzle vel around 850-900 FPS from what ive read that is the most accurate for this combo. any comments/ insight would be greatly helpful. also i was reading on here a few weeks back about someone using small rifle primers instead of pistol for some reason i know the admin on here will say to use what the books and data says but has anyone ever done this and what kind of results did you get. i will be shooting these from a Springfield XDm, steel targes 95% of the time and most of my trigger time is tactical shooting. im not looking to do any competition any time soon. i will be using a dillon 550 b with dillon dies if that helps at all. thank you all in advance!!
