Just thought I would share this post from the Good Samaritan Mission. For the past several years, Good Samaritan Mission has been blessed with a very special sponsor for our Christmas Blessings Event. They made sure that we had an abundance of toys to distribute to families coming to us for assistance. We have just been informed that they are unable to help us this year. We are less than three weeks from our scheduled event and the cupboards are almost bare, You may remember that we do things a little differently than most. On Saturday , December 13th parents who have preregistered children with us can come and shop for toys. They will use tokens they have earned through attending classes, volunteering at the Mission and following our preregistration guidelines to exchange for gifts. The parents will be given wrapping paper and ribbons and take the toys home with them. Children get to experience receiving a gift from their parents on Christmas morning. All of that is in jeopardy this year. If there is anything that you can do to assist us, we would very much appreciate it. We need gifts for boys and girls from newborn to 18. We are especially short on items for tween and teenagers.
