Just want to give a shout out to each of you for all the birthday wishes and for continuing to pray for me and the rest of my family..as you can tell it was a wonderful day. Time spent with a few classmates at the coffee shop. ( thank you, Pauline for giving us the opportunity to be together.) Old friends are just the very best!! It was a healing time for several of us!! Memories again were made and good times remembered, and the gift to be able to share the hurts and open wounds that are still there after 48 years. Lots of laughter and tears where shed. And we got to watch the 3 minute Halloween parade. WOW..not quite what it used to be!!! But, nevertheless, entertaining!!! Milty and the kids threw a wonderful birthday bash for me!! As always, way too much food...and lots of leftovers. Which the grandkids will be taking back to college with them. Cant remember having such a great birthday. Maybe, because I wasnt sure I be here to celebrate with the ones I hold so very dear... my life has changed tremendously, but has become so much richer. Cancer is most definitely the greatest gift that God has ever given me. Its taught me not to take one second for granted. Life is so much shorter than I ever dreamed. Spending time with our family and friends and loving each other even with all our warts and idiosyncrasies make us who we are...a family bound together by love. This next week is going to be a long one.. CAT scan tomorrow then waiting to hear the results. I found a lump under my right breast this past week. We are praying for and standing on Gods word for the strength to make it through. We are cherishing each and every prayer that is said on our behalf. And we thank you all for standing with us. Milt has told me time & time again...Granny, this is just a speed bump in the road of life & God is our road grader. And youll never guess what he gave me for my birthday... just the cutest little red road grader Ive ever seen...what a guy!!! Guess thats the reason I love him more & more every day! How very blest I am.. a wonderful family and friends to numerous to count..including each of you!!!!
