Just wanted to let everyone know Syd was transferred to Childrens last night. She had lab work drawn yesterday, her hemoglobin was 7.0 so she needed blood transfusion which was to be done at Blessing. Her ANC was only 16, during blood transfusion she developed a fever of 102.6. They call her oncology team who wanted her transferred down here by ambulance. All her test and blood cultures have been negative so far so they think she may have had a reaction to the blood. Her hemoglobin today after getting all of first unit last night is only 7.2 but her ANC went up to 56. She feels fine and we are really just hanging out to be watched and get IV antibiotics. If no more fevers and ANC continues to go up she may be able to go home tomorrow.
