Just wanted to let you all know that I got the email confirmation from Ashley at Ogden Arts regarding the parade. We have the entire 240 feet that we asked for. This means that pretty much anybody and everybody that wants to drive in the parade can do so. This email is a little long but please read all of it as it is important...especially the last parts. Dave will to this before he sends it out. His info is important as well, so please read it all. There are a few rules and these are to be strictly adhered to or we may not be allowed in the parade next year. 1. Absolutely NO SANTA COSTUMES will be allowed in the parade or any part of any parade entry. Ogden City will provide the ONLY Santa in the parade. 2. No one under the age of 12 can walk the parade route. They can ride on the float or in a vehicle. 3. There is to be NO throwing of candy or anything else along the parade route. Candy may be HANDED to people along the parade route by walkers by not by anyone inside vehicles. 4. This is the ELECTRIC LIGHT PARADE and is held at night. All vehicles in the parade must be illuminated and covered at least 50% with lights - with the exception of the truck towing the float. 5. We are a 4x4 Club. Our vehicles must be vehicles that are used on 4x4 trails - our Jeeps, Toyotas, etc. Not our full-sized Dodge, Ford or Chevy trucks or our ATVs or UTVs. Basic rule of thumb.....if youve taken it on the Powder Mountain run or on Moab trails (not just dirt roads) then youre probably safe. 6. The parade entry must be set up and in place no later than 5:00pm sharp. The parade will begin promptly at 5:30pm. Again, we need to have EVERYONE IN PLACE NO LATER THAN 5:00 PM. I will not have our number in line until after the 21st. We will meet at Fat Bobs Garages old location (1950 Washington Blvd) at 4:30pm and drive as a group to our place in line. Now for the fun stuff. We will be working on decorating vehicles and the float at ExpeditionOne on Friday, Nov. 28th. The address is 113 N 700 W, Bldg 5C, Unit 1 in Ogden. It is located in the Business Depot just north of the water tower. (If you take 12th St to Depot Dr, go north on Depot Dr. through the roundabout to 1st street. East on 1st Street to the stop sign. We are the building on the left...youll see the ExpeditionOne sign and trailer on the south side of the building. If you have battery operated lights or regular household lights or decorations, please bring what you have. You might want to mark yours somehow if you want them returned to you afterwards. We need items for the float and for some vehicles. Some people have enough stuff for their own vehicle and some do not. If you have extra power inverters, please bring them. We have a generator to power the lights on the float. We will be eating. Dave is handling that part so I will let him add in what he needs to from here. See you all the Friday after Thanksgiving. I may have to work all day so I will most likely be at the shop the entire day. I will see you all when you get there.
