Just wanted to post how appreciative I am to the Lafayette county sheriffs! As well as to all of my neighbors out here (south of town). Everyone kept their eyes open and the sheriffs were able to find and pull over the unmarked white van that showed up at my house today with several aggressive salesmen trying to come inside to shampoo my carpets for free. I was home alone with not only my 5 kids but 3 extra kiddos I was watching for a friend. And after I had turned this man down many times telling him it was not a good time, I had too many kids, it was nap time (which it was) and I was just uncomfortable with strangers in my home while I was here alone with so many kids. He waited until I was distracted chasing after a kid who squeezed through my body and the door saying he was just going to look at my living room to see if it was too big or if his boss would even authorize him to clean it for free. Once inside he would not leave, even after I point blank asked him to several times and he just kept talking over my protests and requests to leave telling about how safe the foam was that they were going to use and how kids could lick it and it would be ok blah blah blah. Finally I just agreed to let him shampoo it so he would leave and once he was outside I made sure all of the kids were inside and told them to lock the door and went outside and told him again he needed to leave that this wasnt a good time. After more protesting and pushing he thankfully finally took my No and left. Turns out they were with Kirby, I would never buy a Kirby just because of how aggressive their sales people are. That was uncalled for to keep pushing after I said no. And if was definitely not ok to just come inside after I had told him no several times.
