Just wanting to keep you in the loop and asking for continued - TopicsExpress

Just wanting to keep you in the loop and asking for continued prayers as I deal with my right eye. Today Dr. Kim did more lasering to help the retina stay attached. He was happy to see that my vision is better than it was before the surgery. However, a longer-lasting gas needs to be added to my eye. With the added gas we would not be able to travel home to WA until mid December at the earliest. If by chance some other issue pops up concerning the eye, we would probably be confined to the Phoenix Valley up to 3-4 months. If we are going to be confined to that extent, I would rather re-hab in WA so we could be home for Christmas with our family. We will be flying home on Wednesday, November 12. There will still be a little gas bubble left from my previous surgery but not enough to cause damage to the macula. (I will see Dr. Kim next Tuesday for verification that we can fly home on Wednesday.) Once we get to WA, I will go to a retinal specialist who will insert another gas bubble. I learned today that my protocol is a little better--15 minutes face down, rest 15 minutes, 15 minutes on the left side, 15 minutes rest. Woo! Hoo! Love that 15 min break!!! In the meantime we will be cancelling lots of things and getting our home ready to leave. We so hate to leave our friends and the sunshine of AZ but think this is the right thing to do for us and my vision. Thank you again for all your concern and prayers. God is good and I am blessed beyond measure.
