Just watched 60 minutes and in regards to this mother being innocent according to an outsider of the family, may be she is a little too naive to come up to this conclusion. One very noticeable fact is the age of the death of the infants from 20 days to 18 months. If it was a genetic disease then a common age bracket would be the tell tale sign but to gradually have a child dying as each child gets older then something is very fishy indeed. To me it looks as though she had tolerated the latter the longest to the point of not tolerating a child any longer. And to witness this traumatic event in her earlier life had probably left her pretty numb and detached from any feelings of love from that time on.
