Just when I thought I was going to have a good night. If you havent been a victim to racism or discrimination then you wouldnt know how it feels! Especially if It came down to being beaten. Now most of my friends dont know this about me but when I was 12 turning 13 in grade 8, apparently I was on someones turf. A group of grown men chased me down yelling insults and racist slurs and beat me up! well like any kid that would be very frightening. My whole life Ive been living in fear! still am till this day and knowing that it could happen to me again, I cant even walk around or even walk around in my home town without having to turn and watch my back every minute, As a young kid coming out of primary school. I only tell this story because Ive seen all the stories about discrimination and racism.
